Abstract: Bamboo shoot keeping is an important measure for the renewal and rejuvenation of bamboo forests, increase of plant density in the bamboo forests and improvement of bamboo production. The shoot keeping technologies for bamboo plantation, such as suitable protection, moderate digging and adequate retaining young shoots, bamboo shoot management, pests and diseases control, were introduced to promote the establishment of young bamboo plantation and then become a bamboo forest.
