Abstract:
In view of the prominent issues in soybean production in Xiuyu District of Putian City, including limited varietal diversity, poor lodging and stress resistance, and relatively low yield, by using the locally dominant cultivar Fudou 234 as the control group, six new soybean varieties were introduced to carry out the comparative demonstration trial, and their adaptability, stress resistance, high yield and maturity performance under coastal dryland ecological conditions were systematically evaluated. The results showed that Zhonghuang 13, Zhongdou 54 and Qihuang 34 exhibited outstanding comprehensive field performance, with the yields of 3 751.5, 3 504.0 and 3 619.5 kg·hm
−2, respectively, which were 12.97%, 5.5% and 2.7% higher than that of Fudou 234, respectively. These varieties were characterized by compact plant type, strong lodging resistance, uniform maturity, and well-filled grains, indicating good potential for the promotion and application. Among them, Zhonghuang 13 had high germination rate, achieved the lodging resistance up to grade 1, and exhibited the most pronounced yield advantage, demonstrating superior overall adaptability, which was suitable to serve as the leading cultivar for large-scale promotion in Xiuyu District and similar coastal dry land in the future. The yield of Kendou 43 and Suinong 26 was comparable to that of the control Fudou 234, with good stress resistance and adaptability, and had stable yield potential. It was recommended to continue to carry out the demonstration and trial planting in the subsequent production.
