Abstract:
To address issues such as high temperature and humidity, severe occurrence of diseases, pests and weeds, labor shortage and excessive pesticide application in the hilly rice areas of western Guangdong, the applicability of precision pesticide application and unified control by plant protection UAV was explored. Field trials were conducted from 2023 to 2025 in terraced fields of Fengman Village, Shijiao Town, Lianjiang City, Guangdong Province. Three treatments were set: precision application integration(T1), conventional control(T2)and blank control(CK), arranged in a randomized block design with three replications, each plot area being 133 m
2. By measuring the control efficacy of diseases, pests and weeds, yield components and economic benefits, the results showed that T1 achieved a weed control efficacy of 93.7%, brown planthopper control efficacy of 98.8% and sheath blight disease index control efficacy of 89.5%. The measured yield was
7926.0 kg·hm
−2, which was 18.2% higher than T2. The input of active ingredients of chemical pesticides was reduced by 28.6% compared to T2, and the average net income increased by
3087.0 CNY·hm
−2. This technology can significantly improve control effectiveness, achieve reduction of pesticide use, yield increase and income growth, and is suitable for promotion and application in similar hilly rice areas of western Guangdong.
