Abstract: Fujian Province is a typical hilly red earth zone, its unique geographical location and climatic conditions lead to frequent happening of soil erosion. This paper reviewed the current situation of soil erosion in Fujian Province, analyzed soil erosion causes from four aspects, i.e. collapse hill, tea garden in hilly land, erosion area of red soil derived from granite, erosion area of purple soil, and proposed corresponding countermeasures for each aspect.
