Abstract:
In this paper, dynamic changes of digestive enzyme activity and total antioxidant capacity of
Ruditapes philippinarum in starvation and re-feeding durations were studied with amylase activity, cellulose activity and total antioxidant capacity as indices. The results showed that no significant effect on antioxidant capacity of
Ruditapes philippinarum between the treatments of starvation and re-feeding but digestive ability was improved. Amylase and cellulase activities showed downward trends with the increase of starvation time. Digestive enzyme activity decreased sharply until the third day of starvation. Amylase and cellulase activities improved in different degree after re-feeding and the activities reached the levels at the first and second day respectively within three days. There was no significant change of total antioxidant capacity during the experiment.
