Abstract: ‘Funong No.1’ was a new okra variety which selected from single-plant variant lines of the okra varieties introduced from African Mali by Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in 2013, and passed through the identification of vegetable varieties in Anhui Province in 2014. This variety was introduced and demonstrated in Dongshan County of Zhangzhou City in 2015, and showed high yield, good performance, good quality and strong adaptability. Also the main characteristics and the high yielding cultivation techniques of ‘Funong No.1’ were introduced in this paper.
