Abstract:
In this paper, plot and field demonstration experiment of applying nitenpyram to control rice brown plant hopper were carried out. The results showed that 4 g 50% nitenpyram SG per 667 m
2 could control rice brown planthoppe efficiently. Its fast-acting and persistence efficacy were significantly higher than 25% pymetrozine WP, 25% thiamethoxam WDG and 100 g/L ethiprole SC, being safe for rice growth. The yield of rice in demonstration area was 6.2% higher than that in control area. So, it was suggested that nitenpyram and carbosulfan-imidacloprid could be alternately used to control rice brown plant hopper.
