Abstract:
A pot experiment was carried out to study the selenium-and strontium-concentrating capacity of Chinese milk vetch, sesbania and smooth vetch. The results showed that the capability of
Astragalus sinicus were strongest, its Se and Si content in over ground part reached 31.13 mg/kg and 11431.15 mg/kg when applying 5.0 mg/kg Se and 500 mg/kg Si respectively. Smooth vetch also had a strong capability, the content of selenium in over ground part reached 11.80 mg/kg while applying selenium 2.0 mg/kg and the content of strontium in over ground part reached 5278.50 mg/kg while applying strontium 500 mg/kg. Sesbania had lower Se-concentrating capability and strong Si-concentrating capability, and because of its biomass is 9 times more than the Chinese milk vetch, it's still a kind of excellent green manure plant to concentrate selenium and strontium.
