Abstract:
Chinese herbal wax, controlled atmosphere fresh-keeping bag and combination of these two methods were used to the fresh-keeping treatment of litchi, the results showed that the fresh-keeping wax of Chinese herbal medicine had the best fresh-keeping effect on litchi, which could be stored for 42 d under (4±1)℃ refrigerated storage conditions with more than 90% marketable fruit rate, reduce the bad fruit rate. Chinese herbal wax could well keep the original color and quality of litchi, and effectively maintain Vc and soluble solids content and reduce the content of titratable acid. To a large extent, it could effectively prolong the fresh-keeping period of litchi.
