Abstract: To solve the problem in low extraction yield of rose essential oil from Damascus by the traditional steam distillation,a comparison test among three different extraction methods of steam distillation,salinization-water vapor distillation and double-steaming distillation was carried out.The results showed that using the double-steaming distillation could get highest yield of essential oils by 0.031%,the salinization-water distillation method was the second,and the steam distillation method was the lowest.It showed that the method of double-steaming distillation was the best one to extract the essential oil from Damascus rose and could be applied in production.
