Abstract:
Different extracts were obtained from leaf, petal, and callus of
Murraya panaculata by three solvents,i.e.methanol,ethanol,and ethyl acetate, and their antibacterial activities on five races (9805913,2004130A,2004015A,RB20 and 11143) of rice blast strains were detected. The results showed that all three extracts have a certain inhibitory effects on 5 races of rice blast pathogen, which decreased in the order of callus, leaf, and petal.Concerning about extractant,Methanol and ethanol were better, which showed strong inhibition to rice blast pathogen under the concentration of 0.1 g/mL.The highest antibacterial activity to rice blast pathogen was the extract from callus by ethanol, which showed 100% inhibition rate on RB20,and above 98% on 11143 and 2004130A.The antibacterial activity of the extracts by using ethyl acetate (with strong odour) was the lowest, therefore do not recommended to use it as extractant of
Murraya panaculata.
