Abstract: Post tobacco rice is the main farming type of rice in Changting County. In order to screen new varieties of high yield and high quality hybrid rice, which is suitable for the popularization and cultivation in Changting County, 5 new hybrid rice varieties were introduced in 2017 and a comparison test on new varieties was carried out with ‘Yi-you 673’ as the control variety. The results showed that the comprehensive performance of 3 varieties of ‘T liang-you-ming-zhan’, ‘Yong-you 5552’ and ‘Yong-you 17’ were better and the increases of yield were significantly higher than that of the control, and which could be extended by the demonstration as rice cultivars after tobacco cultivation in Changting County.
