Abstract: In this paper, we should draw on excellent experiences of International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) and advanced foreign countries, take hold in the Chinese context, and make clear the principles of determination of promotion objects of national park institution in China. Acting on these principles, the lowest class of management category in IUCN was used as minimum standard and national monuments focused on cultural resources and low-class natural resources were not included at present. We would take these principles to determine promotion objects of national park institution in China.
