Abstract:
Fujian Province has rich bamboo resources whose utilization is broadly covered. The development of bamboo resources included bamboo fiber product, bamboo wood-based panel, bamboo furniture, bamboo weaving craft, bamboo carving craft, bamboo-made commodity, special bamboo product and bamboo food. In this paper, status of collection and conservation of bamboo genetic resources in Fujian Province was analyzed. Fifteen edible bamboo varieties for priority development were screened from 158 common bamboo varieties in Fujian Province. The paper summarized characteristics and high quality and high yield cultivation techniques of edible bamboo.
