Abstract: Sweet potato cv. ‘Funingshu No.12’ is a new high yield cultivar bred by Ningde Institute of Agricultural Sciences using ‘Ningshu No.3’ as female parent and ‘Jinshan 72’ as male parent. Moreover, it was approved by Fujian Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2011 (the approval No:Min She Shu 2011001). ‘Funingshu No.12’ was in trial in Fuqing City in 2016-2017, showing semi-straight type of mid-vine, moderate growth and development period, high yield, high resistance to diseases, good commodity and long storage duration. The paper introduced its yield performance and characteristics in Fuqing City and summarized its high yield cultivation techniques including selection of production bases, preparation of plots and ridges, nursing of strong seedlings, rational close planting, scientific fertilization, strengthening of field management, comprehensive control of diseases and pests and harvest in time.
