Abstract: Cold damage is a disastrous weather in tropical fruit planting area of southern China and could affect tropical fruit cultivation seriously. The paper summarized research progress in cold damage of tropical fruit and stated achievements of cold damage risk zoning, cold damage investigation and cold-resistance breeding. Aimed at existing problems and shortages, some suggestions were proposed so as to provide ideas for further studies.
