Abstract: In recent years, protected vegetable industry in autumn and winter is growing rapidly. The planting area of pepper reached the largest, the pepper marketing situation is the best, its economic benefits are optimum and it could improve yield and farmers' income remarkably. In order to improve yield and increase growers' income, numerous high-quality pepper varieties at home and abroad were introduced, in trials and demonstrated. Some pepper varieties special for protected greenhouse including ‘37-74 Xunchi’, ‘Liangjian’, ‘Xiangxiu5112’, ‘Palermo’ and hot pepper ‘Chaoyue’ which were suitable for planting in Fujian Province were screened. The paper summarized main cultivation techniques of pepper varieties at protected greenhouse to provide references for its production.
