Abstract:
South subtropical broad-leaved tree species were introduced from Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan to Shuangxi State-owned Forest Farm in Tong'an. After more than 40 years of domestication and long-term observation, according to the comprehensive evaluation of their introduction effect, among the 12 species which had not been exploited and utilized, 5 were suitable to be popularized in Xiamen mountain areas, including Khaya senegalensis, Manglietia glauca, Terminalia, Homalium hainanensis and Peltophorum pterocarpum. 3 species more suitable for popularization were Gmelinahainanensis, Duabanga grandiflora and Radermachera sinica. 4 species with poorer introduction effect were Dendrobenthamia hongkongensis, Gmehlina arborea, Albizia procera and Erythrophleum fordii, so their extension was postponed.
