Abstract:
The effect of selenium on seed germination and seedling growth, plant growth and development, yield and quality formation, resistance to vegetables and the physiological and biochemical effect of interacting with other heavy metals were summarized on the basis of summarizing the basic law of selenium enrichment in vegetables. It was emphasized that under the growth environment with suitable selenium concentration, selenium had obvious effect on seed germination, plant growth promotion, yield and quality optimization, resistance improvement and toxicity alleviation of heavy metals, while excess selenium showed poisoning effect. Finally, the development and future direction of selenium-rich vegetable industry in China were briefly analyzed. It was suggested that selenium-rich vegetable varieties should be optimized and the safe cultivation mode of selenium-rich vegetables should be standardized to provide reference for promoting the development of selenium-rich vegetable industry.
