Abstract:
By taking the hybrid fruit pod of Taibeixiaojie and
Cymbidium hookerianum a kind of
cymbidium hybrid, and the self-pollinated fruit pod of Taipeixiaojie as the materials, the effects of different concentrations of activated carbon on the seed germination were compared. And the proliferation and differentiation of rhizomes formed by their seed germination in the same culture medium were also compared. The results showed that the culture medium with 1.0 g·L
-1 activated carbon was suitable for the sterile germination of the seeds of self-pollinated combination of Taibeixiaojie, while the culture medium with no activated carbon was suitable for the sterile germination of the seeds of hybrid combination of Taibeixiaojie and
Cymbidium hookerianum. Moreover, the culture medium with 1/2 MS+6-BA 0.5 mg·L
-1+IBA 0.1 mg·L
-1+no activater carbon 1.0 g·L
-1 had better effect on the rhizome proliferation of self-pollinated combination of Taibeixiaojie, while it had better effect on the rhizome differentiation of hybrid combination of Taibeixiaojie and
Cymbidium hookerianum.
