Abstract: The cooperation for poverty alleviation of East-West China is an important content with the most Chinese characteristics in poverty alleviation and development since the reform and opening up. Over the past 22 years, Fujian has given partner assistance to Wanzhou District in Chongqing, and achieved remarkable results in the cooperation for poverty alleviation of East-West China, which was the vivid practice of the cooperation for poverty alleviation of East-West China. Since 1997, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FAAS) has responded to the call of the State Council, that is, the national counterpart support for the construction of Three Gorges Reservoir Region, and according to the intention of counterpart support reached between Fujian and Wanzhou District, FAAS has sent the team of fruiter experts to Wanzhou District to provide scientific and technological assistance in the construction, so as to promote the development of the local industry of loquat. Taking the experience and effects of FAAS's counterpart support to Wanzhou District for example, the main methods and basic experience for carrying out the cooperation for poverty alleviation of East-West China between Fujian and Wanzhou District were discussed in this paper. Then, some thoughts and countermeasures were put forward for further implementing the cooperation for poverty alleviation of East-West China.
