Abstract:
The content of crude polysaccharide in Minmacai No.1, a variety of vegetable jute, was determined by anthrone-sulfuric acid method extracted by alcohol precipitation, and the monosaccharide composition of crude polysaccharide was determined by HPLC with pre-column derivatization of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone. The results showed that the content of crude polysaccharides in vegetable jute was 2.5%, which was mainly composed of 6 monosaccharides, namely rhamnose, glucuronic acid, galacturonic acid, glucose, galactose and arabinose. The ratio of their content was 1:0.82:0.36:0.12:0.47:0.11, and the content of rhamnose was the highest, reaching 39 968.8 mg·kg
-1, followed by the content of glucuronic acid. The young stems and leaves of vegetable jute were rich in crude polysaccharides and rhamnose, so vegetable jute could be used as the raw materials for extracting polysaccharide and rhamnose.
