Abstract: Wanxiantian 159 was a variety of sweet corn bred by Wannong High-tech Group Co., Ltd. in 2013 with WT015 as the female parent and WT059 as the male parent, and it passed the national certification in 2018 (the certification number was Guoshenyu 20180365). The plant height and ear height of this variety were moderate, the plant type was semi-compact, the resistance was strong, the adaptability was wide, and it had a good market application prospect, which was suitable for the cultivation in spring and autumn in the south (southeast) of China. The selection and breeding process of the parents of Wanxiantian 159 were introduced in this paper, and the characteristics, yield, quality and disease resistance of Wanxiantian 159 participating in fresh corn regional trial in South (Southeast) China from 2016 to 2017 were also introduced. Then, its main cultivation techniques were summarized.
