Abstract:
Qinfeng Chinese Yam was an excellent Chinese yam new variety selected and bred jointly by Yingshan Precious Chinese Yam Farmers' Cooperative of Dehua County, Institute of Agricultural Biological Resources of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Planting Management Station of Quanzhou City. It was recognized by Fujian Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2015 (Fujian cuisin 2015015). Qinfeng Chinese Yam has been planted for the demonstration and extension in Yingshan Village and Daban Village of Dehua County from 2016 to 2018, showing the performance of high yield and good commodity, good economic benefits, good variety resistance, and being easy to be cultivated, with the average yield of 29.3 t·hm
-2 and the average output of 29.3 ten thousand yuan·hm
-2. The planting performances of yield, disease resistance and variety characteristics for the demonstration in Yingshan Village and Daban Village of Dehua County were introduced in this paper. Then, the high-quality and high-yield cultivation techniques of Qinfeng Chinese Yam were summarized from the aspects of field selection, land preparation, seeding and planting, water management, fertilizer management, pest control, timely harvesting, etc.
