Abstract:
In the preparation of micro-encapsulated diets for the larvaes of
Pseudosciaena crocea, in order to stabilize the slurry and obtain the appropriate product particle size, the process condition modeling test was carried out for the selection for the particle size of the multiple emulsion of slurry. The three factors including the weight percentage of liquid emulsifier in the powder core materials and wall materials (
E), the speed of the high shear disperse emulsifying machine (
Q) and the operating time of the emulsifying machine (
T) were taken as the variables of the process conditions. The mean particle size (
D) of the multiple emulsions of slurry by microscopy was used as the evaluation index of the response. The uniform design method was used to carry out five tests. And then, after the stepwise regression analysis of the data obtained from the five tests, the modeling results were as follows:
D(
μm)=306.833-25.3
E-0.006
Q. It was determined that (
E) was the first factor influencing (
D). The particle size
D(
μm) of the emulsion (95% confidence) was predicted, and the results obtained could be used as the basis for the process conditions of the suitable slurry for preparing the micro-encapsulated diets of
Pseudosciaena crocea.
