Abstract: By taking the 25 new combinations of balsam pear such as 1629, 1731 and 1712 and so on, which were selected and bred by the research group as the experimental materials, the comparative study was carried out on the yield, agronomic characters and commodity characters of balsam pear, with Xincui as the control group. The results showed that the three new combinations of 1629, 1804 and 1833 were early and middle maturing, with bright green or white green color, regular strip shape, good glossiness and high yield. And compared with Xincui, the yield was increased by 2.2%-18.0%, so, they were suitable for the protected cultivation of plastic greenhouse in South Fujian in spring and autumn.
