Abstract:
In 2016, 27 new varieties of sweet potato were introduced to carry out the regional test, and the 27 varieties were divided into three groups:the purple group, feeding group, and high-quality starch group. The results showed that the average yield per 667 m
2 of Jinshu 14 and Fushu 317 in the purple group respectively increased by 92.6 kg and 80.0 kg compared with the control group of Funingzi No.3, with significant differences. Jinshu 14 was long spindle-shaped, with magenta skin and purple flesh, and had high resistance to the stem rot of sweet potato; while Fushu 317 was long spindle-shaped, with purple skin and flesh, and had moderate resistance to the stem rot of sweet potato. The average yield per 667 m
2 of Funingshu No.20 and Longshu No.35 in the feeding group respectively increased by 448.6 kg and 410.7 kg compared with the control group of Jinshan 57, with extremely significant differences. Funingshu No.20 was long spindle-shaped, with white skin and flesh, and had high resistance to the stem rot of sweet potato; while Longshu No.35 was long spindle-shaped, with orange skin and flesh, and had moderate resistance to the stem rot of sweet potato. The average yield per 667 m
2 of Pushu No.12 and Funingshu No.21 in the high-quality starch group respectively increased by 305.3 kg and 289.3 kg compared with the control group of Guangshu 87, with extremely significant differences. And Pushu No.12 and Funingshu No.21 were both long spindle-shaped, with red skin and yellow flesh. Among them, Pushu No.12 had moderate resistance to sweet potato blast. The above six new varieties of sweet potato could be further expanded for the experiment and demonstration in Nan'an City.
