Abstract: The research on the seed grading standards of Chinese medicinal materials is the basis of the standardized production of Chinese medicinal materials, and also an important guarantee for the modernization and standardization of traditional Chinese medicine. In this paper, the medicinal parts of three kinds of medicinal materials, namely, the root and rhizome medicinal materials, flower and fruit seed medicinal materials, whole herb and stem and leaf medicinal materials were classified and reviewed. The research progress of the seed quality grading standards of Chinese medicinal materials in recent years was summarized, and the key directions of future research were pointed out, which provided reference for the seed standardization and application of Chinese medicinal materials.
