Abstract:
Aiming at the problems of the lack of uniform quality standard and the uneven quality for the screening of root tubers of the cultivated
P.heterophylla, the preliminary screening methods for the root tubers of cultivated
P.heterophylla, as well as the symptom identification and elimination methods for the cultivated
P.heterophylla damaged by pests or infected by diseases were introduced. In addition, the germination rates, seeding emergence rates and yield of root tubers of the screened cultivated
P.heterophylla were also analyzed to provide basis for the screening of healthy cultivated
P.heterophylla. The results showed that the method for selecting the root tubers of healthy cultivated
P.heterophylla was established, which was to select the root tubers with fat body, intact epidermis, no disease spots, no insect bites and full bud head. The germination rate and seedling emergence rate of root tubers of the screened cultivated
P.heterophylla could reach 100.00%, meanwhile the buds was complete and full after germination, the seedlings emerged neatly and healthily and the dry weight yield was 484.63 g·m
-2. In the control group, the germination rate of root tubers of the unscreened cultivated
P.heterophylla was 88.00%, and the seedling emergence rate was 77.78%, with irregular seedling emergence, weak growth and the dry weight yield of 326.44 g·m
-2. The germination rate, seedling emergence rate and dry weight yield of root tubers of the cultivated
P.heterophylla were significantly higher than those of root tubers of the unscreened cultivated
P.heterophylla.
