Abstract: Sweet corn Taixiantian No.2 (national approval corn 20200516) was bred from the cross of Tai 301 and HT2-02 by Guangzhou Panyu District Green Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., which belonged to the variety of fresh sweet corn. It was demonstration planted in Taoyuan Town and Guangping Town of Datian County from 2020 to 2021, showing excellent comprehensive performance, with strong seedling growth, good uniformity, strong stems, moderate maturity and strong adaptability. The bracteal leaves of fresh corn cob were tight-heavy and good in appearance. The bracteal leaves had good stay-green degree and were resistant to storage and transportation. The cob corns were coarse, with full grain and good quality. The fresh weight of corn cob was above 550 g, and the yield was 23 113.5 kg·hm^-2, which was 20.0% higher than that of the control. The disease occurred lightly, showing good resistance. This variety was suitable for being planted in Datian County and could be extended for demonstration. Attention should be paid to the height control in cultivation. It was suggested to spray chlorocholine chloride in time when 6-8 leaves grew.
