Abstract:
The pH value was an important chemical property of soil, which would have an important impact on the land productivity. In order to grasp the change of soil pH value in Fuzhou in the recent years, based on the soil pH data from the second soil survey in Fuzhou (in 1984) and the project of farmland quality improvement and fertilizer reduction and efficiency improvement in Fuzhou in 2019, the changes of soil pH in Fuzhou in the recent 35 years were studied by using the method of statistical analysis. The results showed that the soil pH value of cultivated land in Fuzhou City decreased as a whole. The mean soil pH value of cultivated land decreased from 5.68 in 1984 to 5.52 in 2019, decreasing by 2.8%. In 2019, the spatial distribution of soil pH of cultivated land in the whole city showed a gradual decrease from the coastal areas to the mountainous areas. The spatial distribution of soil pH of cultivated land in 2019 was basically the same as the results of the second general survey of soil. Compared with the second general survey of soil, the cultivated soil in Fuzhou showed an obvious acidification trend. In 2019, the percentage of the soil pH<5.50 of cultivated land in Fuzhou City reached 64.70%, which was 35.43% higher than that in the second general survey of soil. Among them, the pH of latosolic red soil and moisture soil decreased by 17.43% and 15.81%, respectively, but the pH of paddy soil did not change significantly.
