Abstract: Zhongzu 18 was a new early-maturing conventional early indica rice variety bred from Zhongzao 25 and Zhenong 131 by Zhejiang Wuwang Agricultural Seed Co., Ltd. and China Rice Research Institute, which was approved by Zhejiang Main Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2020 (Zhejiang Approval Rice 2020005). In 2019, Zhongzu 18 was introduced to Wenzhou for the trial planting, which showed the characteristics of early ripening stage, high yield, strong lodging resistance and disease resistance. In this paper, the main characteristics of Zhongzu 18 in Wenzhou City were introduced, and the high-yielding cultivation techniques of this variety in Wenzhou were summarized according to the situation of demonstration experiments in the past two years, so as to provide reference for the further popularization and application.
