Abstract: In order to select the suitable summer sowing purple early maturing cabbage varieties which have high yield in Fuzhou, the experiment was carried out on the agronomic traits and yield of 15 purple early maturing cabbage varieties which come from all over the country was compared by taking Ziyitianshi for the control. The results showed that Zisong NO.1 have the characteristic as high uniformity, tall plant, semi-erect plant, purple outer leaves, light purple inner leaves, slightly wrinkled leaf surface, poorer nodularity, high stress resistance, etc., with the yield of 23053.2 kg·hm⁻², which is 19.05% higher than the control, and Zifei has the characteristics of high uniformity, larger plant, semi-erect plant, larger long elliptic leaf blade, slightly wrinkled leaf surface, purple outer leaves, light purple inner leaves, The yield was 21669.15 kg·hm⁻², an increase of 11.9% over the control. The yield of other varieties is significantly lower than that of Zisong NO.1 and Zifei, It is not recommended for use.This indicates that both Zisong NO.1 and Zifei are suitable for the promotion of summer stubble cultivation in Fuzhou area.
