Abstract:
The toxicity of seven common insecticides to female adults of
Amblyseius swirskii was determined by slide-dipping method and comprehensive toxicity method, and the corresponding safety was evaluated. The toxicity of different insecticides to
Amblyseius swirskii determined by slide-dipping method was as follows: Matrine > Valaxon > Chlorbenzuron > Abamectin > Fenpropathrin > Imidacloprid > Bt. The recommended concentration of
Bacillus thuringiensis among the seven insecticides was safe for
Amblyseius swirskii. Imidacloprid was low toxic to
Amblyseius swirskii at the recommended concentration, and the low concentration of it had high security for
Amblyseius swirskii. The comprehensive toxicity determination showed that matrine, phoxim, chlorbenzuron, abamectin and fenpropathrin were toxic to
Amblyseius swirskii. The results showed that the five insecticides of phoxim, matrine, abamectin, fenpropathrin and chlorbenzuron were not recommended for the release of
Amblyseius swirskii in the biological control park, and
Bacillus thuringiensis and imidacloprid could be used in combination with
Amblyseius swirskii when necessary.
