Abstract:
In order to study the effect of nitrogen application rate on the yield and nitrogen use efficiency of the hybrids of red rice, a field experiment was carried out in Nan’an City of Fujian Province in 2024. By taking the hybrids of red rice ‘Shennong Youhong Simiao’ as the experimental material, five nitrogen fertilizer application rate levels of 0 (CL1, CK), 150 (CL2), 165 (CL3), 180 (CL4) and 195 (CL5) kg·hm
−2 were set up to determine the yield, plant height, effective panicle number, grain number per panicle and seed set propagation coefficient of the hybrids of red rice under different treatments. The yield of the hybrids of red rice increased with the increase of nitrogen fertilizer application rate, and different nitrogen fertilizer treatment levels had effects on plant height, effective panicle number and seed set propagation coefficient of rice. When the nitrogen fertilizer application rate was 180.0 kg·hm
−2, the rice yield was the highest and the agronomic efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer was also the highest. The nitrogen use efficiency of rice decreased with the increase of nitrogen fertilizer application rate. The results showed that when the nitrogen fertilizer application rate of the hybrids of red rice ‘Shennong Youhong Simiao’ was 180.0 kg·hm
−2, the high yield and efficient utilization of nitrogen fertilizer could be achieved during planting.
