Abstract:
In order to enrich and optimize the variety structure in eastern Zhejiang and meet the diversified needs of the market, the late-maturing peach variety was introduced and its local adaptability was evaluated. By taking the local variety Hujingmilu as the control group, the phenological period, growth and fruiting habits, and stress resistance of Jinqiuhongmi were investigated. Then, the fruit quality and economic benefits were comprehensively evaluated, and the key points of cultivation techniques in eastern Zhejiang were discussed. The results showed that: the germination period of Jinqiuhongmi was similar to that of Hujingmilu, but the maturation period was delayed to the end of September. And the fruit development period reached 190 days, which avoided the high incidence of typhoon and filled the market gap during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. The variety had moderate tree vigor, high budding rate and branching rate, no physiological fruit drop, and strong resistance. The high temperature and drought and typhoon weather had little effect on it. The fruit of this variety was round with an average single fruit weight of 298 g and the maximum single fruit weight of 502 g. The content of soluble solids was 18%, but the coloring ability was weak, and the fruit was prone to russeting, which needed to be bagged. The economic benefit analysis showed that the yield could reach 33.75 t·hm
−2 after 3 years of field planting, and the benefit could reach 20 000 yuan per 667 m
2. The results showed that Jinqiuhongmi had good adaptability and promotion potential in eastern Zhejiang.
