Abstract:
Understanding the community structure of the rare plant
Disanthus cercidifolius var.
longipes can provide a basis for the conservation of this species.Using standard plot method, the plant species, quantitative characteristics, species diversity and vertical and radial structure of the
Disanthus cercidifolius var.
longipes community in Qiangjiangyuan National Park were studied. The results showed that the plant species in the community were rich, with 108 vascular plant species belonging to 47 families and 88 genera; the vertical structure was obvious, with
Cunninghamia lanceolata and
D. cercidifolius var.
longipes as the dominant species in the canopy layer,
Eurya rubiginosa var.
attenuata,
Itea chinensis var.
oblonga and
Symplocos anomala as the dominant species in the shrub layer, and
Woodwardia japonica as the dominant species in the herb layer; the life form of plants with the highest number of terminal buds was 85.2%; the geographical components with the highest number of species were the subtropical genera and families, accounting for 20.90% and 20.78% of the total, respectively; the Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Simpson dominance index and Pielou evenness index all showed that the canopy layer was greater than the shrub layer and the herb layer; the tree height and diameter structure of the community were inverted "J"-shaped, and the diameter distribution of
D. cercidifolius var.
longipes alone was positively skewed. In summary, The community of
D.cercidifolius var.
longipes in Qianjiangyuan National Park has a mature and stable structure, and its renewal status is good. The single species of
D. cercidifolius var.
longipes is in the stage of population succession of the increasing type.
