Abstract: Fu Qiukui No.2 was a new variety of okra ys006 from the Philippines, which was introduced from the Asian vegetable world vegetable center. It was bred through multiple generations of selfing purification and directional selection. This variety was early maturing, with green fruit color, indistinct ridges, thick flesh, good taste, aging resistance, and high yield.From sowing to the first harvest, it took about 55 days, with a plant height of 1.5-2 meters.The stems were thick and sturdy, with short internodes and dense nodes, high lignification, and strong lodging resistance. The main branch and lateral branch could bear fruit. The first flower was at 4-5 nodes. The tender fruit was green in color and sheep horn shaped. The fruit surface was covered with fine white hairs, with indistinct edges. The transverse diameter was 2.0 cm, and the longitudinal diameter was 12-15cm. The cavity was small, the flesh was thick, and the tastewas tender and smooth. The average yield of varieties in 2020−2021 was 34179.00 kg·hm⁻², which was significantly higher than that of the control variety Fukui 1; From 2021 to 2022, Fu Qiukui No.2 participated in the regional test of Fujian Province, with an average yield of 32981.57 kg·hm⁻².The results showed that the variety contained 669 μg β- carotene, 2.5 g total sugar, 0.13% total flavonoids, 1.3% acid detergent fiber, 0.32% lignin and 1.76 G protein per 100 g fresh weight; Resistance to leaf spot. The yield of tender fruit per 667 m² was about 2300 kg, which was suitable for planting in spring and autumn in Fujian.
