Abstract:
To screen out new rice varieties suitable for rice noodle processing and satisfy the increasing demand of the rice noodle processing industry for specialized rice, 11 new rice varieties with high amylose content, including Lanyou 151, Lanyou 7954, and Chengyou 7954, were selected in 2024. Using Yiyou 673 as the control variety(CK), a variety screening test was conducted at the Nanping Modern Agricultural Breeding Base of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Systematic comparative analysis was conducted on growth period, main agronomic traits, yield, rice blast resistance, and rice quality of the tested varieties. The results showed that Lanyou 7954 and Chengyou 7954 had high yields, significantly increased by 7.23% and 6.38% compared to Yiyou 673(CK), respectively. They showed moderate to high resistance to rice blast, and high amylose content(26.7% and 26.3%, respectively), exhibited exceptional comprehensive traits and was ideal rice varieties specifically developed for rice noodles processing. Lanyou 151, Xuanliangyou Waiqi, and Chengyou 3219 had higher yields, increasing by 4.26%, 2.13%, and 0.43% compared to Yiyou 673(CK), respectively. They showed strong resistance to rice blast and high amylose content(27.2%, 26.0%, and 26.2%, respectively), with good comprehensive traits, could be important candidate varieties for special rice used in rice noodles processing.
