Abstract:
In order to explore the technical model of red fire ant control in rural environment, promote the refined and scientific development of control technology, improve the control effect and reduce the risk of pesticide environmental residues and pesticide damage, the existing red fire ant control technology and pesticides were used to carry out integrated matching experiments and demonstrations of red fire ant control technology and pesticides in three main habitats in the rural environment of Guangdong Province, namely dryland/irrigated land, paddy fields and residential areas, to form a control technology plan suitable for different regions. The occurrence and damage degree of red fire ants in each demonstration area was reduced from level III to level I, and the average worker ant trapping ratio was reduced from about 90% to about 20%. In the paddy field habitat, the use of chemical synthetic pesticides was reduced by 100%, with significant economic and ecological benefits. The results show that the technical plan for red fire ant control in dryland/irrigated land, paddy fields and villages formed by this study is effective, which can provide technical support for the scientific control of red fire ants in rural environment, while reducing the use of pesticides, and has important promotion value.
