Abstract:
The key to hybrid rice breeding lies in the creation of excellent sterile lines and restorer lines, and through reasonable crossbreeding, selecting hybrid combinations that have comprehensive advantages in terms of yield, resistance, and quality. This study used the blast-resistant restorer line Fuhui 6073 as the male parent and a two-line sterile line Tong S with excellent rice quality and coordinated agronomic traits to successfully breed the new hybrid rice variety Tongliangyou 6073. This variety has excellent comprehensive traits, specifically manifested in its ideal plant type, strong lodging resistance, and excellent eating quality, meeting the national standard for Grade II high-quality rice. In terms of resistance, it shows moderate susceptibility to rice blast, but its overall resistance level is better than the control. Its entire growth period is 128.6 days, which is 3.9 days earlier than the control variety. It has stable high yield, with an average yield increase of 4.97% in two years of regional trials. In conclusion, Tongliangyou 6073 is a hybrid rice variety that combines high yield, excellent quality, and broad adaptability. It is suitable for promotion and cultivation in the one-season rice areas of the middle and lower Yangtze River region and has good application prospects.
