Abstract: In order to screen the high-quality and high-yield peanut varieties suitable for being planted in Quanzhou area, by taking the local main variety Quanhua 551 as the control, eight new peanut varieties were introduced to carry out the variety comparison test. The results showed that the yields of Yueyou 211, Quanhua 33 and Yueyou 216 were the top three, which were 15.35%, 14.90% and 13.77% higher than that of the control variety Quanhua 551, and the yield increase was extremely significant. In terms of quality, Quanhua 33 had the highest protein content, reaching 29.98%, which met the national standard for high-protein peanuts. Guihuahong No.6 had the highest oleic acid content, reaching 79.77%. Based on the comprehensive yield, agronomic traits and quality performance, Yueyou 211, Quanhua 33 and Yueyou 216 were preliminarily recommended to be used for the small-scale demonstration trials in Quanzhou area. Meanwhile, Quanhua 33 could be used as a high-protein breeding parent, and Guihuahong No.6 could be utilized as a high-oleic acid breeding parent.
