Abstract: In our paper a mulching cultivation test of winter-planting potato was carried out. The results showed that mulching by plastic film could result in accelerating the emergence of seedlings and high germination rate. Straw mulching as sandwich could obtain higher potato yield than no mulching treatment by 10%. Plastic film mulching could get higher potato yield than straw mulching as sandwich significantly. There was no significant difference in the yield between the treatments mulching with white plastic film and black plastic film. Plastic film mulching and straw mulching as sandwich could not obtain high yield by duplicate effect, but resulting in high cost and low benefit.
