Abstract: In order to study the seed reserving technology for carrot mother plant, the technical practices, such as root cutting, wound treatment by chemicals after cutting, were probed. The results showed that the best way was: to cut the bottom side of fleshy root by 2 cm firstly, keep it at shady and cool place for 2 days to make the wound healing, and then soak the treated roots with 800 time solution of 50% Ruanfuling powder for 1 h before planting.
