Abstract: Purple yam was cultured by the induction cultivation techniques using shallow grooves in Changting County, and the produced yam tuber had the characters of beautiful and neat form, easy recovery, high yield, good quality and high efficiency. Also in this paper the cultivation techniques were summed up from seed tuber selection, disinfection, promotion of germination, strip arranging and plot putting, field management and other aspects, moreover its production efficiency was analyzed also.
