    北美海棠在沙县引种试验

    Introduction test on North American Begonia in Sha County

    • 摘要: 从江苏省南京市引进亚当斯和高原红2个北美海棠品种在福建省沙县地区试种,通过3年引种观察,结果表明:这2个品种适应性强,表现为耐旱、耐寒、耐热;在株高、胸径、冠幅、分枝量等方面,生长状态较好;适宜引进推广种植。观察发现这2个北美海棠品种抗病虫害能力一般,引进种植应注意防治病虫害。

       

      Abstract: Two North American Begonia varieties, ‘Yadangsi’ and ‘Gaoyuanhong’, were introduced and planted experimentally in Sha County of Fujian from Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The results showed that, based on observation on introduction for three years, the two varieties were both with high adaptability with the performing of drought, cold, and heat resistance; and good growth condition in the aspects of plant height, stem diameter, crown width, branch number, etc. Therefore, they were both suitable for further introduction and extension. But it should be paid more attention on the control of pests and diseases owing to their moderate pest-resistance.
