Abstract: Red fire ant is one of the most destructive invasive alien pests included in the World Conservation Union. Since the occurrence of the red fire ant epidemic in 2007, Quanzhou had carried out timely epidemic survey, strengthened surveillance, adopted scientific prevention and control measures to effectively suppress the expansion of the red fire ant epidemic. Based on the survey and monitoring of red fire ant in Quanzhou City, the living habits, occurrence regularity and damage characteristics of red fire ant were analyzed, and the comprehensive control measures were put forward from the aspects of strengthening plant quarantine, carrying out census monitoring and chemical control.
