Abstract: The new young orchards have low economic benefit, and interplanting in orchards is one of the ways to increase the income of fruit growers. Three potato varieties were introduced to be experimented comparatively with the local conventional varieties in the open spaces of young orchards. The results showed that:Xuanshu No.2 was the most suitable for interplanting in young orchards, with high commercial potato rate and good economic performance. The commercial potato rate of big-sized and middle-sized tubers reached 53.5%, which was better than that of other varieties. The yield per 667 m² reached 1 415.67 kg, which was significantly higher than that of other varieties. The net income was highest, reaching 1 849.87 yuan per 667 m², and the input-output ratio was highest, reaching 1:2.89.
