Abstract: In order to select the varieties of fresh waxy corn suitable for planting in Zhangping City with high yield, disease resistance and good commodity quality, the regional test of fresh waxy corn varieties in Fujian Seed Station was carried out in Zhangping in 2016. By investigating the agronomic characters related to the resistance, yield and commodity quality of fresh waxy corn varieties, the results showed that three varieties including Tianguinuo 919, Tiannuo 133 and Cainuo 17322 showed good agronomic characters, commodity quality, and comprehensive performance. The yield per 667 m² was 82-156 kg higher than that of the control Suyunuo No.5, the difference in yield was extremely significant, and the resistance to major diseases was at the level of resistance or moderate resistance, so it was suggested to continue the trial or production demonstration at the same time. While Qiannuo 601, Zhenzhennuo 95 and Cuinuo No.2 had lower yield than that of the control Suyunuo No.5, and their field performances were poor, so it was suggested to stop the trial.
