Abstract: Mintian 6855 was a new sweet corn variety selected and bred by Crop Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It has passed the variety certification by Fujian Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2016. The variety had high yield, stable yield, wide adaptability and lodging resistance, which has been widely promoted in Fujian, Guangdong and Hainan. Based on the growth characteristics of parents of Mintian 6855 and the special climatic conditions in Fujian, the technical points of high-yielding seed production of Mintian 6855 were discussed from the aspects such as the selection of seed production site, sowing time of parent lines, sowing conditions and field management technology, thus to lay a foundation for the seed production of Mintian 6855 in large areas of Fujian.
